After Mykhailo Mudryk scored his first goal for Ukraine before Chelsea’s match against Arsenal, Reece James wrote him a kind greeting. On Saturday afternoon, the Blues will welcome Mikel Arteta’s team to Stamford Bridge, and the 22-year-old winger will be eager to play and keep up his impressive run of form.

Tuesday night’s vital European Championship qualifier between Mudryk’s nation and Malta ended with a 3-1 victory for Mudryk’s team. While Italy was defeated by England to secure their spot at Euro 2024, Ukraine passed Luciano Spalletti’s team to take second place in Group C.

Mudryk celebrated his first goal in a senior international match by posting a picture of himself on Instagram. Giorgi Sudakov, a fellow countryman and former Shakhtar Donetsk colleague, as well as Kepa Arrizabalaga, Angelo Gabriel, and Reece James, expressed their support in the comments area.

“[Red heart emoji],” the Chelsea captain was placed beneath the Ukrainian’s position. James’ response received over a thousand likes in a short period of time, demonstrating how much Blues supporters want Mudryk to thrive for both club and nation.

Recently, Mudryk has improved greatly thanks to Mauricio Pochettino’s protection of the young player from outside pressure. The Blues manager called him a “unique” player earlier this season, but he emphasized to fans that he needs time to mature.

The 51-year-old remarked, “These guys’ lives altered when they were so young. “You pay a lot of money, and they give you a lot of change. Additionally, it’s not about coming and performing while you’re young. It is about to adjust and assist them in settling.

The hardest part therefore is figuring out what these individuals need to fit in, feel at ease, and exhibit their skill. Mischa is undoubtedly a very talented player, but you must proceed with caution while playing with him.

“People from other countries or regions of the world are entirely different from Latin Americans in terms of culture and everything else. He is now attempting to be more adaptable, open, and participatory in every circumstance, both on and off the field.

“I believe he is making a significant effort to try to fit in and to better grasp what it means to play as a team. He is special. I couldn’t think of any players who I can compare him to. Both for him and for us, it’s a worthwhile task.
