There have been strong reports of Kevin De Bruyne's National teammate being linked to joining United in the summer

Kevin De Bruyne was one of the most sought-after players in Europe in the summer of 2015. The Belgian midfielder had just had a stellar season with Wolfsburg, scoring 16 goals and providing 21 assists in all competitions. As a result, he was linked with a move to a number of top clubs, including Manchester City and Manchester United.

In the end, it was Manchester City who won the race for De Bruyne's signature. They paid a club-record fee of £55 million to bring him to the Etihad Stadium. De Bruyne has since gone on to become one of the best players in the Premier League. He has won two Premier League titles, two League Cups, and the FA Community Shield with City. He has also been named PFA Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year.
